Our annual Arbor Day celebration is the biggest tree event of the year in Wichita. We take over a section of Riverside Park for a full morning and afternoon of free trees, local vendors, and tree-related programming for all ages.
We'll have free trees available for the first 200 families, plus a certified arborist on-site for Q&A throughout the day. Local nurseries and conservation groups will have booths set up with information on what grows well in south-central Kansas. Food trucks will be on-site, and there will be activities for kids including leaf identification and seed planting stations.
No registration required. Bring a wagon or something to carry your tree home if you plan to pick one up. Parking is available along Nims Street and in the lot off Murdock Avenue. The event is fully accessible.
