Join us for a guided walk through the grounds of the John C. Pair Horticulture Center in Haysville, home of the community forestry program of the Kansas Forestry Service. The center hosts one of the most diverse collections of trees and woody plants in south-central Kansas, and this walk is a chance to see it with people who know it well.
The walk will be led by staff who can speak to both the species on-site and the broader work of urban and community forestry across Kansas. Whether you have been paying attention to trees your whole life or are just starting to look up, this is a good way to spend a morning in October.
